What's up Seattle?
So it snowed in Seattle...and now the snow is turning into ice.

BUT OMG!!!!!! This city does NOT know how to deal with snow. People getting in accidents, panicking, even abandoning their cars on the middle of the freeway. And the rumor is that the city only owns two snowplows and no sand trucks or anything else. REALLY?

I mean it doesn't snow here often, but still, wtf people, don't let a few inches of white bring you to your knees! If Montana behaved like this the whole state would have to put out a "Closed" sign from mid-October to May.

And I fly out tomorrow morning (early) for a job interview. It's in sales so I don't even know if I want it, but still...I hope they let the plane off the ground. *le sigh*

LOL...people here have never known how to drive in snow. We do get a fairly good dusting of it every couple of years, and three or four inches is usually enough to send the city spiralling into chaos. It cracks me up, because I know that other places deal with a lot more snow much more often.

Good luck with the job interview...I hope it's somewhere warm and dry :-)

Thanks! The job interview was in Kansas City. Which started out warm and dry...but ended up with ice rain that held up our plane in the airport *sigh*

yeah...I'm not scared of the snow and ice. I'm scared of the other drivers!

Good luck! I just got back from Spokane and I had no problems until I got close to town.

The snow sucked on I90, but I think the black ice is worse. The roads wouldn't be so bad if they were working on them!!!

My friend is at the airport now trying to get a shuttle home, he thinks he'll be lucky if he gets home by 3am. He said most flights going out tonight are very very late because they don't have all of the equipment there to de-ice planes.

Can't work on them if they don't have the equipment *sigh*

Yeah, I bet the shuttles were nuts. Last night they were taking long enough still...

We get a lot of snow here and people still forget how to deal with it during the first snow every winter. Always amazes me to see people driving like they've never seen snow before. I'm fairly sure the people driving 5 mph because of a little snow are more likely to cause an accident than the ones driving normally.

Ugh no kidding.

Other drivers scare me more than any other road hazard.

Hi there

Huge good luck with the job interview, it'll all be good practice even if you don't really want the post.

Travelling in snow is a bummer, especially when people aren't prepared, but look on the bright side, you can make snowmen and snow angels or maybe even a snow phoenix, lol.

Good luck
*hugs*

Oh puh-leeze. (turns on the Old Fart In Training) When I was a kid, we had to go to school in an </i>ice storm!!!</i> Uphill! Both ways! With no shoes!

Good luck on interview! Even if you don't want the job, you can say to the guys interviewing for the job you do want, "Please pay me lots and hire me immediately, I have another offer."
